Marco Bagiacchi — freelance web developer in Perugia
Raised in Perugia, built project after project, convinced that good web work changes things.
I'm Marco Bagiacchi, a creative developer in Perugia. I design and build websites, e-commerce, web apps, brand identities, SEO strategies and digital consulting paths for people who want an online image that matches the quality of their work — not a compromise between aesthetics, code and results.

Who Marco Bagiacchi is
I started writing code out of curiosity, then passion, and finally as a profession. Today I work alongside entrepreneurs, professionals and startups to turn their identity into digital products that really work — not just visually, but strategically.
I work directly, with no middlemen: no agencies, no account managers, no hidden costs. I follow every project from idea to launch — design, code, SEO, performance. One person, the whole picture.
I believe a well-built website isn't an expense — it's an investment that pays for itself. That's why I don't sell templates: every project starts from scratch, tailor-made, designed to last and to turn visitors into clients.
How a freelance web developer works
Transparent, in 4 steps.
No surprises.
The same process for a brochure website, an e-commerce or a whole brand identity. The scale changes, not the cleanliness.
We talk about the project
I understand goals, audience, ideas and problems to solve. The right questions before the pixels.
I plan every detail
Structure, content, features and visual direction. No surprises, everything on the table.
Development
Design, code, performance, responsive and optimisation. You see, comment, decide.
Delivery + support
The site is yours, but I don't vanish into thin air. Don't worry: I stay reachable.
I'm not just the one who writes code.
Design that hits, code that holds, experience that converts. That's how I keep aesthetics and results together.
Design that hits
Strong visual direction, clear hierarchy, micro-details that make you look twice. No stretched templates.
Code that holds
Modern technologies, cleanliness, performance and accessibility. What you see is what the browser loads effortlessly.
Experience that converts
Every screen has a direction: intrigue, reassure, get the click. A studied UX structure, not an improvised one.
Web developer experience and education
Ten years of projects.
No two alike.
I didn't follow a linear path. I started with backend, moved to mobile apps, then to the web — and at some point realised my place was at the intersection of code and design.

2015 — Start
Code before design
I started with management software in C# and .NET, then cross-platform mobile apps with Xamarin. No web, no graphics — just logic, databases and backend. A technical foundation that still shapes how I approach projects today: the problem first, then the interface.

2017 — Turning point
From backend to web. From web to design.
I moved to Vicenza for a stint at an agency in the renewable energy sector, where for the first time I worked on websites and graphic identity. I realised I loved it. Back in Perugia, I opened my freelance studio and started working with Nalu Web Agency — which became an ongoing collaboration of over 8 years.

2021 — International
London, Berlin, English-speaking clients.
Two parallel collaborations opened the foreign market to me: UGlow Digital in London (dental, architecture and UK hospitality) and Tasting Truffles between Italy and Germany. Working with English-speaking clients changed my approach to digital communication — higher standards, less room for "it's understandable anyway".

2023 — Today
150+ sites. Two continents. One method.
With a digital agency I work on projects in Italy, the UK and the United Arab Emirates — server management, advanced security and custom development for over 150 sites. In parallel I follow my direct clients: SMEs, professionals and startups looking for someone who reasons through the project with them, not just executes it.

I'm not the right choice for everyone.
Better to tell you now than to find out halfway through. If you recognise yourself in one of these points, there are probably better-suited options for you — and I'm happy to point them out.
Those looking for the lowest price
There are great tools — Wix, Squarespace, ready-made templates — designed for minimal budgets. I don't compete on that: my value lies in reasoning through the project together, not in filling a pre-made structure in a hurry.
Those who can't delegate anything
The process works when there's mutual trust. If you feel the need to approve every single choice in real time, it becomes heavy for both of us. I need space to work well — then I show you everything and you decide.
Those who arrive with no ideas and no wish to find them
Bringing clarity is part of my job, and I'm happy to do it. But if you're not available to answer, decide and invest a few hours in the initial phase, it's hard to build something that really works.
Marco Bagiacchi: who's behind the code
I step away from code.
Not from curiosity.
Every project carries something of me. The way I look at a landscape, frame a subject or handle the effort of a climb — it all ends up in the way I work.
Travel
I travel whenever I can. Not for tourism, but to understand how people live elsewhere — how they move, what they buy, how they use the web. Every trip comes in handy in some project, sooner or later.
Photography
I've been shooting for years, especially while travelling and in the mountains. Photography taught me something I bring to design: composition isn't an opinion, it's a precise choice. Every pixel has a reason.
Trekking
The Umbrian Apennines are home, the Dolomites the permanent goal. You can't bluff on a climb: you need method, patience and knowing when to stop and take in the view. The same goes for difficult projects.
Sport
Football forever, tennis for a few years, running when I really need to clear my head. The pitch taught me that talent matters less than consistency — and that teamwork is a skill, not a quality.
